Total Lunar Eclipse - 15 June 2011

Sky watchers in six continents (all except North America) witnessed the longest lunar eclipse in 11 years on June 15, 2011, when Earth's shadow engulfed the Moon for a whopping 100 minutes.

In this image we can see a sequence of the eclipse from partial phase to totality as captured from the the center of Athens (Ampelokipoi area), Greece.
